Question

Hey sorry if this is a little off topic.
I have a JL 12 inch in my trunk but because of the excessive metal between the trunk in the car im having a hard time getting the most out of my sub. Is there any area of this i can trim without causing problems. I dont know if it has any effect of the stiffness of my car or even the back seats. Its currently only got that little micro hole the i couldnt even use for anything. Hmmmm. Maby if i line my sub up with that hole it would help. Ill try that. Any other ideas??

I have a 92 si and I want to add that center speaker like the 95 vtecs have... can I just get the rear center piece from a 95 and swap it in? Or do I need to remove the center console? Anyone know what part number the center piece is on that diagram on hondaautomotiveparts.com?

I don't think cutting anything would help.

Try facing the sub to the rear of the trunk, so it uses the whole trunk as a "box" in addition to the sub box. If you put it right behind the seat hole, I think you would only benefit if the seat was down, because the sub would be firing right into the seat, causing no air to move.

How I helped

Thats how it is now

I have it using the trunk as a box now.
I tried firing it directly thru the hole but it sounded like crap.
The best way i found was just to mount the sub on the drivers side and lower the seat. The little cubby hole acts kinda like a port and the Bass really gets into the car.

Im getting my Kappa Perfects in a few weeks. On friday i saw a prelude with that metal piece gone and i was told it just bolts on so it should be easy to remove. Im going to take it out when i get my new box.
