My thermostat broke the other day so it waasnt letting any coolent in so my temp gauge ran reallt hot so i bought a new thermostat and put it in and now it goes to like 2-3 bars past the half mark on the temp gauge but after aWHILE it goes back down? is it letting the coolent in at to high of a temperature? did i buy the wrong one?

That is what is sounds like. I think you got to high of thermostat.

sucks getting the wrong parts


I would also be sure to check if your radiator has any cracks. a lot of times when your thermostat goes out, your radiator cracks.

I think my radiator is fine b/c i ghetto rigged my 1st broken thermostat to let coolent in 24-7 and it always ran cold? any ideas?
