Worthwhile free mods??

Ok im thinking about doing the EGR mod and the coolant bypas mod before i go to the track this weekend. i had the coolant bypass done before i went to the shop but now its back to stock. anyways is it worthwhile to do those 2 mods, and im thinking about removing the PS belt. would this gain me anything or should i just leave it on. im just going to see how much my times change from last weekend and then i will know if these helped or not. thanks

as far as EGR, i didn't notice any difference after blocking it off. the coolant bypass seems to help in cold weather, but it might just be in my head. for real gains hand port your intake manifold and i guarantee you will see at least 5whp gain, as long as you hog that bish out and match the ports to the head.

fyi i dynoed 182hp 143tq with intake, exhaust, and ported im. (172hp and 139tq SAE corrected)

i now have mugen header, PS underdrive pulley, and e-manage so hopefully i can get over 180whp.

Remember, you can take the ballance shaft belt off for the day of the event. I'm sure you can live with the vibration for a day for the hp gains across the board.

I would say the only worthwhile free mods are the coolant bypass mod, which the only downside is during cold weather it takes longer to warm up, and the EGR blockoff plate just because of the simple fact that xhaust gas being injected into the intake air simply cant be good for performace.

PS: That is a very large run-on sentence.
