Dude, there is no way in hell I would buy that. Its in pieces and it looks as if it has had the head replaced because its cleaner than the block. It says 2001, its obd2 so your gonna have to convert it to your 4th gens obd1. Go somewhere with a rep, you get what you pay for. http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30016

Well actually I was talking about the the filthy mess of cut hoses and rusted/discolored parts.

You couldn't pay me enough to put that **** in my engine bay

...The more I look at the picture the more I want to close my browser window. Looks like a total mess

I would buy a motor somewhere you know to be reputable. At least, I wouldn't risk my money on it. But to each his own.

any motor you pay 200 bucks for is not a motor that should be in your car.

go with something like this... you kinda need money but it's better than that.

Those OBD2 computer set ups for the H22 engines suck. We pulled the engine in my friend's 99' prelude and it was a mess. We even had everything marked and labeled well because he was replacing the crankshaft in it.

Long story short he ended up having to replace 2-3 sensors that broke and we had several other problems along the way. It ended up costing him a heck of a lot more than it should have in the long run.

Looking at my 93 Prelude set up vs the 99 prelude I would rather work on a 93 any day of the week. Stick with an OBD I and an engine around the same year as your car.

I will say I looked at swaping my F22 for an H22A but detoured from it after looking at the costs (in 2007). It was going to cost me by the time i got new clutch, 02 sensor, header, motor mounts, tune up stuff and all for the manual set up at that time was around $2200. In parts and all it was going to be around $3500 doing it myself. I ended up taking the money and putting it down on a used 350z.

Looking at the prices these engines STILL cost. I don't think I would ever do it as you can pick up a really good used prelude for about what you would pay for a used engine... rediculous. It is almost easier selling what you got and getting a VTEC lude as you will spend a lot more trying to turn a non VTEC into one. If you are going race build, however, then there is the exception as all you really need is the shell. For street or daily driver, I personally can't see it.
