won't go past 3500rpm's

Well my mechanic and I can't seem to diagnose what the problem is. The car won't go past 3500rpm's, does anybody have a clue to what the problem may be? TIA. And it's an atuomatic H23

Peace

won't go past 3500 like it's hitting a rev limiter and the engine is wailing/working hard?

You have a CAi or a short ram?

sounds like a vacume problem, have you run cel codes yet?

I had a similar issue when I first installed my CAi and it was clogged my car would rev to 3k rpm and then die due to lack of air. were you doing anything when this problem 1st happened? Have you checked your filter?

not sure what 120kph's is in mph but ya once it hits that after awhile the engine shuts down. Now imagine that happening to you with a semi-truck behind you going the same speed, freaky!!!

It's the intake, it's not sucking in enough air. I had this problem before.

Well it happened a couple of days after I got the distributor. My mechanic and I are still waiting for answer from the local Honda dealership. I hope they won't be dicks and actually help us. For sure it has to be something electrical, cause sometimes whem I start the car up it shuts down with the CEL light on and the battery light too but when I start the car again the CEL comes on and that's it.

Same thing happened to me in my car, but it wasn't going past 3000 rpms. I check the engine code and found out it was just the crank shaft sensor. I changed that out, and now it works just fine
