The h1s have 2 prongs and the h4s have 3 ..... when i look at my harness on the h4 it only has 2 inside of it.... but the end of the bulb has 3.... only 2 wires comin off the h4?

The DRL come on , and the highs..... but no lows at all..... I switchd the harness over, and the low comes on if I switch harnesses with makes me believe I need to connect somethin to the other prong...

No relay, I basically took factory JDM harness, took the h4 leads, matched the wires up with my Factory CDM (USDM) leads... The connections are fine its just not lighting the bulb...

ah... you're doing it that way...

H4's are dual filament, hence the 3 prongs (one positive for low, one positive for high, and one ground). In Japan they don't use the secondary filament, so the harnesses that are sent over with the bulbs only have 2 wires, so people here just use the H1s as the high beams.

The center prong on the H4 is the low beam filament... that one has a wire on the harness right?

Ya I just took a look at it, and the h4 has only 2 wires, 2 prongs that connect, all tho the bulb has 3..... Its missing the right prong... if ure lookin at the back of the bulb.

weird that its not working... are the bulbs new?

if you have a multimeter on hand, measure the voltage on the center connector of the harness and see if there's voltage there

Ok what I did was. I switched the harnesses, h1 to h4, just to test somethin....

When I put on my high beams..... with the harness switched.... the low beam bulb will come on... Because of I have them switched so the bulb is not blown, and the prongs are getting power..... My assumption is that The two outer prongs on the h4s give it power, not the top one....

thats not necessarily true. one filament could be blown and the other unharmed. For example, the low filament in the bulbs on my mom's Maxima blew, but the high beams still worked. When you switch the H1 harness over to the H4 bulbs, you are utilizing the high beam portion of the bulb, so the low beam filament could still be blown. its a dual filament bulb unlike the 9005/9006 bulbs we use in our stock lights

just don't drive around with it like that cuz you'll blind everyone.

weird things are known to happen in the electronics world

looking at the back of the bulb with the center prong towards the top, you tested it with the left connector as ground and individually tested the other 2 connectors with the positive wire right?
