Wiring harness. JDM h22a

I got my new h22a the other day and started stripping it down to start replacing all the gaskets and taking off head to get a valve job done and all that, when I saw that the wiring harness at on of the thickest parts was hacked!. wtf? and another little part was hacked as well. My buddy said I might have to splice the wires with the one's on my car anyway which is why they where hacked in the first place. Or is the harness no good now? Any info or links to another post would be great. And yes i already pressed the search button. I'll post pics later today.

Just reuse the harness that is already in your car. I used my H23A1 harness with my H22A with no problems. Just had to run the two wires for the VTEC solenoid and oil pressure.

Yes. I swapped my P14 for the P13 when I swapped in my H22A. The two wires will be run back to the new ECU.

You won't splice them into any other wires. They are two wires that you need to add into empty pinouts on the ECU harness connector. One will run from the ECU to the VTEC solenoid, and the other will run from the ECU to the VTEC Oil Pressure Switch.
