Wipers not working right - Honda Prelude Forum

Ok, when i pull down on my wipers, they only spray but dont go on. when i pull back they go on, but only as long as i have it pulled, so if i let it go halfway up, it stops. also, the first click on(intermittent), doesnt work. and the last 2 do though. but like everything else, when i click back down to off from the hi/low settings, it stops at whatever spot it was when i clicked it back.

does anyone know what could be wrong with that??

Sounds to me as if the wiper switch/stalk is in trouble. If you have a friend with a 4g, then try swapping to see if it cures it, or try to find a used part.

It's the first thing I'd try.

what is it that im swapping?? and how do i swap it??

the actual switch assembly that is attached to the steering column.

before you trry that, look at the wiper relay, it's a black box by your clutch master cylinder. i had the exact same problem with mine. i swapped it out from one i got at the pull-a-part and everything was good. $20 and five minutes.
