Wiper arms?

I wanna repaint my wiper arms since they have faded quite a bit but after removing the nutthat holds them on i still cant seem to get them off?

They can be a ***** to remove even with the nut off. Try prying up and away from the window at the base with something that wont scratch the plastic underneath

EDIT: Might also help if you spray a penetrant like PB Blaster on the stud where the nut attaches. The stud has little teeth and you may have some corrosion in there which is causing the arm to stick.

take the nut off. close the hood. raise the wiper arms. then pull off the wiper arms

I just raised the hood, put some cardboard behind and sprayed away.

Do it in a windless environment and you won't get overspray on your windshield.

make sure the spray has no CFCs in it. we don't want to harm the poor, helpless, environment anymore, do we?
