Winter tyres

Well. I ran 15" 195/65 Blizzak WS-50's last winter for rally, and everyday hellish driving here in the western snowy salt land some call Rochester.

I was wondering if anyone had tried fitting 14's on their car. I haven't had a chance, or a spare wheel to try yet. I wanted to try to run a 185/70 for rally this year. I'm either putting the Blizzaks on my parents Accord, or selling them to my friend for his 2.5RS. I'm getting studded Hakkapelitta 1's.

I was looking at the caliper today, and I really don't know if I have that extra 1/2" clearance on each side that I'll need, so, if anyone knows... lemme know. Thanks guys.

up up up UP!

Someone has to know this... because if I can fit 14's, I'm going with 175/70's. And I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaly want to run 14's for rally. We have an ice race on a lake, and I'm ready to kick some arse.

My car came with the 195/65-14 stock wheels when i bought it. I exchanged them for 205/50-16 , and now I´m using the 14´s for the winter tires. I´m using studded Hakapelitta 1´s , dimension is
175/70-14. This is my first winter season with the car , and I´ve only had them on for about 2 weeks. So far i love these tires , great traction in all sorts of conditions (the weather here in Norway sucks , changes all the time). What trim level is your car ? Mine is a 2.0i with 133 hp (european model). They come stock with 14" wheels , if your car don´t have much bigger brakes than those , then they should fit.

Arvid,

Thanks for the info! I was planning on using 175/70/14 studded Hakka 1's... lucky you in Norway... you get Hakka 2's already. We probably wont see those until after next spring.

I'm going to take one of the wheels off of the Del Sol and try to fit it onto mine (it has OEM 14" alloys).
