Winter starting

How can I improve the starting of my car in the morning? It's getting really cold now in MO and the Lude sounds awful when it's starting after sitting for a while. It's an H22A...maybe new spark plugs? I'm using 5W30 motor oil.

Any other car I've started in the winter doesn't do this. My brother's integra starts almost instantly, as does my mom's accord.

Please help!

Thanks.

Make sure to let the fuel pump run for a couple seconds before cranking the starter (turn key to last position before ignition and let it sit for a sec).

Absolutely. I have some crap no-name battery in now, going to buy an Optima soon. I'm in MI, we had snow a few days ago and today was the first really cold day I started my car in the morning, it's a tragedy, having to push this poor car through a Michigan winter, but hey, it has to be done.
