Windshield and tint pricing

So my windshield is slightly lifting in one corner(TR), can hear air kinda rushing in. No water yet. Am guessing the caulking\seal is probably dried out. Never had windshield replaced.

Have been looking around on pricing, was going to just have an RnR-
(remove-n-reseal) done and most folks are quoting about $125
Can get a new one for 175ish. Seems pretty much a no-brainer to just get new.

Which brings me to first question
1. I figured a windshield is just that, a windshield. But after looking on fixmywindshield.com, seems there are several options
Base is called blue tint\blue shade for 171
then there's the Green tint\green shade at 317
What's the difference? (yes I know they are different colors)
Most everyone else has given me the a price of less than $200-
Believe they said PPG glass
2.Do all windshield places suck, seems like all the local vendors have some pretty negative feedback
3. The weatherstripping\molding around the glass is slightly lifting at both top corners. Car was parked under trees for a while a dirt worked it's way into that groove and forced it up\out.
What's the likely hood it will go back down flat?
Do glass companies carry clips for all molding\stripping if they break em?

Tinting windows
Was quoted 125-good,155-better,175-best to have just the four side windows redone, with a 3M film. Was 40 bucks more if they stripped em-I did that myself.
The rear is ok
Does that pricing seem about right?

Thanks

IDK why you would waste $50 on a windshield if you dont need one? $175 seems a bit high for tint. I paid $90 for only the 2 front windows on my truck. What makes the $175 guy better then the $125 guy? Just about every tint shop uses good film and price should not vary by darkness. There are a lot of quality tint film companies that you might not have heard of because they only make film, not everything like 3M.

The 125 Winshield RnR,- everyone's kinda hedging on getting it out in one piece
also after all the years it has some hairline scratches in it

The 125/155/175 tinting is all from the same person\place-different film grades

Id shop around for tint. Ask other people in your area who did theirs and if they were happy with them.

Definitely. Two different shops may use the same tint/film, but the workmanship may very well vary! Poor workmanship on tint, even with excellent quality film, will wrinkle, peel or bubble.

From what I've heard, 3M tint film is one of the best films in the market, but it also costs more than other films like Suntek. I'd say the prices are fair for the tint.

Most companies offer a lifetime warranty against fading on films as dark as 13%. Maybe darker but I havent seen any.
