Window Trouble...

Let first start out by saying the symptoms: Simply my window switch on the drivers side does not work so I cannot roll down my windows. When I press the up button on the switch I can hear the motor running to put it up but it cuts off because its all the way up. So I though maybe it was the switch but I tried my friends switch but same thing, nothing down but hear the motor running trying to go up. I think that it could be the thing for my alarm which is a window module that automatically roles up my windows and I can hit a button to make them go down. Do you think this is related to my window problem? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

could be your alarm, my alarm has this feature too but I disconnected it because think about it, every time you turn on your alarm it will send the signal to the motors in the windows and that will put a strain on the motors maybe even mess them up, try to disconnect it and see if that helps, there also has to be a relay somewhere but then you wouldnt hear the motor if the relay was dead, take the door pannel off and see if you see anything loose or broken...

So would that cause the motor to not even try to run when hitting the down on the switch?
