Will this work?

Ok i have an H23a and i want to swap H22 pistons in it. I was wondering if i need to sleeve the block? cause if i do its not even worth doing. And do u guys think that h22 pistons will give a power gain?

The h22 pistons have a higher compression than h23 pistions, so they will give you a power gain, and i was always told that the block has to be resleved when you change the pistons.

I was told that you only have to resleev when your going to forged pistons. I don't know about the H22 pistons because they are made of the same material as the h23. I know that they both have the same bore.

you shouldn't have to re-sleeve when putting in H22 pistons. Unless your cylinder walls are badly scratched up, the only time you should have to re-sleeve is when installing forged pistons.

Why not go with Type S pistons 11.0:1, US H22's are 10.0:1, and JDM H22's are 10.6:1. Type S will give you the most compression. Also SRP (JE) has pistons with a 11.5:1 c/r but they are forged.
