will these fit?

i want to know if a 15x6.5 +40 offset wheel setup will rub on a 4th gen lowered around 1.5" all around. i know the recommended offset is +38 through +55... so i just want to make sure before i buy the wheels.

That is the stock size sitting 15mm wider out than stock. Personally I think it would fork things up even if it doesn't rub.

No, unless you're sure it won't mess up handling. Why are you getting new wheels in the stock size btw?

im running +48 on my 17x7 and it is lined up with the fender and it handles great.

it wouldnt. actually they work just fine. plus you be able to use a wider tire.

How would you be able to use a wider tire with and aftermarket 15x6.5 as opposed to the stock 15x6.5? That doesn't make sense.
If you have wider wheels, like the 17x7 slipknot has, then you need a slightly lower offset, like +48, to keep the steering point in the middle of the tire.
