Will a JDM Type R shift boot fit?

As above - Will a JDM Type R shift boot fit in my centre console to replace my stock shift boot? Anyone done this before?

If there is any modification required, how much modification would I be expecting?

Thanks for your help guys/gals...

I found this -

Which fits better: Civic or Integra Boot?

I need a little bit more info on the modification of the frame to fit though... Any pics?

yup it fits, but on a stock shifter it may be short, I have heard the CTR has a longer boot and hence better look on a stock shifter. The midification is extremeley easy.
1. remover center console/radio suround
2. flip it over and pop out the stock shifter/ring
3. Remove the staples holding in the boot inside the ring
4. install new boot and and ring, re-use staples

done

I've got it on mine, and I love it...

Orlando summed up the install, not too tough, although the bottom of the boot is a little tight around the ring.

I see, well I've got the forbidden short shift so it should fit okay - it's just my shift boot ring has a crack in it I'll have to glue it all up...

Thanks for the tips guys!
