Will JDM EL Gauge Cluster Work?

I'm being offered the full gauge cluster from leftside to the right side of the car of a jdm 94 prelude. Will the gauges work even though they might be for a right hand drive lude? How do i know if the guy has everything needed for the EL gauges to work? Will there be any wiring issues?

they should work but you may need to lengthen the wires.

That is incorrect. Please don't give advice if you don't know what you are talking about.

People have tried to get the jdm gauges to work in our usdm ludes and it doesn't just plug and play. The usdm EL gauges will swap over with a little bit of modification. Check the FAQ for the write up.

Ken, I asked please. That should go for everyone here. If you don't know don't give advice. We don't want to give people bad information. It's a waste of their time and money.

Ben - What year prelude do you drive? It will make a difference as to what you need. Do you have EL gauges now? It isn't just plug and play. You are going to need the different wiring diagrams. I remember posts where a guy was trying it from the NON EL gauges and got it to work but he never finished telling us how. When he would turn the gauges around to the front of the car and plug it in certian parts would work but the others wouldn't. I will search for the thread.

just because your car didnt come with the EL guages doesnt mean it wont work, and in fact if you get the dash harness it does become plug and play....and yes you can put in your guages and get them to work properly, however your main problem is going to be the fact that thier JDM..if thier canadian, youll be ok, but the JDMs were on the right side of the dash, and if you look at your cluster from the top, it curves, therefore on the JDM one, its going to curve the wrong way because its mean to be mounted on the opposite side of the car, you could always get a USDM front panel form the honda dealer, not sure about the cost, but getting it to work isnt that hard, especially since i know you have a helms, there are a few people who can help u if needed, but the face of the guages ie the cover, not the actual guages are going to be your problem...thans..peace
