will an intercooler fit well behind...

I was wondering if an intercooler would fit well behind a wings west rs kit or maybe should I go with the bigmouth or something so it gets more airflow? btw for future reference no turbo yet.

the rs is just a lip, so it would still be the stock bumper. as for the bigmouth, im pretty sure there are some floating around here w/intercooler

An intercooler would fit behind the stock front piece wouldn't it?

Yes, an intercooler will fit with the WW Big Mouth kit. I know because shadowz did it with his car.

Since the RS kit is a lip kit, you're still going to have to cut the bars on the stock bumper where the air inlet is in order to put an intercooler. I remember seeing it done.

Oh, so you do have to cutout those bars in the stock piece? Well that sucks. So much for "stealthiness." Do you have any pics of cutout stock front pieces kb798?

I'm sure if you work with it long enough you can get it to fit without cutting the bars, if you've seen the boost lee prelude i believe he has a fmic on the stock bumper with bars and everything, as well as quite a few other turbo 4th gens I've seen on cardomain. I'm going to try to run a 21x9x3 core or something close to it on a oem bumper (with bumper support removed) with the rs lip.

Hmm...well I'm wrong. I thought I was right, and searched for a thread that I remember I saw a while ago, and you can have an intercooler in the front. Granted it's not going to be very big, but it can be stealthy.

Here's a link:

Oem bumpers, the "bars" I think you guys are talking about are still in place. Unless you're talking about the support, the first pic looks like he could still fit his support, while I have just removed mine completely (not the safest route but definitely gives me the most room.

SO, that second pic is your car? Very impressive, it's beautiful. One question though, you say it's not the safest route, what do you mean by that? Accident wise, is that what you're referring to?

Ya, but neither of those cars are mine, lol, mine is in the link in my sig. I'm sure theres some trimming on the back of the bumper you have to do (part you don't see) but other than that I think you will have 0 problems so long as you take your time and trim a little bit at a time until it fits nicely.
Soon i'll have my big stunna front mount though!

Besides most factory-turbo cars, you pretty much have to do some cutting in almost any car...no big deal, really...

Well, I think I'll leave the cutting up to a pro... that's not my forte.
