Will an H23 fit through a standard doorway?

Im getting an H23 to build up soon and have very limited space for it.

My options are:

1. My office, if it will fit though the door.

2. My back porch. Kinda scary, but its hidden from everyone except my neibors who arent even into cars and seem like genrally good people. I would rig up a car alarm so that if its moved, an alarm would go off.

3. Somebody else's place, which i REALLY would prefer not to do.

Thanks

Get a garage and yes with everything taken off it it will EASILY fit through a doorway our engines are not big at all.

A H22A long block with the tranny taken off is TINY.

I would say the engine is about 2ft wide or less so you should have no probs at all. I would think the hard part would be moving the engine around so much.

I would suggest doing this on something that you have a serious concrate floor with lots of absorball, otherwise your going to have oil and coolant all over everything.

Also what are you playing to do with this build up ?

Pick up an engine stand. Helps a lot, you can rotate the block and it's on wheels .. just a thought.

Depends on how fast your going....
Get a running start and you could get it through a closed door

Put in on a skateboard an roll it to where you need it, then put it on an engine stand.

yeah, its a home office with brand-new carpeting. My options are very limited and im not too hot on the idea of having it on my back porch now that i think of it.

I guess my first thing is to protect the carpet by pouring concrete over it...or i could put down a tarp or something and pick up any spills as they happen.....i know im gonna screw this carpet all up...never thought about fluids...Engine stand sounds like a good investment.

Whoa, an H23 powered engine stand!!! Its got wheels, right? Now thats what i call a good power/weight ratio!

yeah, how could the carpet be damaged by fuel, oil, or coolant if it has 6" of concrete poured over it? Think about it. just kiddin, it was a joke. lol

kinda like "under my clothes im completely naked" = "Under the concrete, the carpet is as good as new"

I work on everything in the kitchen... I think that might be the best place to keep it. It's close to the dishwasher, which is good for cleaning parts.

Have the shop drain the engine before you pick it up... It'll be lighter that way as well..
