wierd clutch

im having some odd problems with shifting. when i got the car a little less than a year ago the other owner had let the master clutch cylinder go out and was just adding fluid. i replaced the master and slave, bled the hell out of it and it worked perfect. well it hasnt been a year and my clutch is acting up again. when in higher rpm it hesitaits shifing into 3rd, more into 4th, and at high enough rpm i have to wait untill the rpms are low enough to shift into 5th or it will grind, almost like the pedal is not engaged yet its to the floor. if i shift in low rpms it still shifts smooth into all 5 gears. so i started out with the obvious and re-replaced the master and slave (since they were under warranty so it was free). bled the system and prayed.. well it helped a little bit but not much. so now step 2 what could it be.. i have a pretty good thought that the clutch just needs replaced along with the throw out barring. the car has 184K on it and more than likely has the oe clutch. (the previous owner did not take care of her at all) i dont think its the tranny what so ever because once its in gear it satys and does not pop out of gear. that and it still accelerates strongly without problem. basicaly what do you guys think it is? my thought was the clutch but maybe you guys may think of something i might have overlooked or not thought of. thanks

184K on original clutch = time for a new clutch.

well going to start with the clutch.. i ordered a ACT XACT street light flywheel for $247, ACT piolt bearing for $19, and then i went with the ACT clutch kit HA3SPSS for $333. so hopefully this weekend ill have time to get them put in and ill let you guys know if that solved it or if i need a new tranny as well.. who knows maybe its a combination or both tranny and clutch

Sounds like the clutch, I had a similar problem. My clutch would not disengage from the flywheel. One of the springs in the pressure plate came out and wedged in there. It would only disengage if I forced it to by almost coming to a complete stop with the clutch pedal pushed in it would finally disengage. Replaced everything with a Fidanza lightweight flywheel and an Exedy clutch kit, works great now!
