why are transmissions such a pain?

who woulda imagined it takes so much effort to remove your transmission to swap it? I spent 3 hours so far and all I have left is the rear motor mount which has to come out! DOH!

you're removing the rear motor mount?

i got mine out and the only mount i removed was the tranny one under the intake.

How? My motor mount is hooked to the tranny and to the block... Its more of a lip.. but i couldnt slide it far soungh to get over the bump.. I guess I will see.. I am abuot to go down there and beat it with a hammer...

I just removed the tranny mount, the bolts on the bellhousing, and some that are attached to the rear mount i think, but not the actual mount
