It has a limited aftermarket support, compared to other Honda motors. It was made for only a little while, whereas the H22 was in production for 10 years, and b-series motors even longer.

A lot of well built H23s are done with a lot of money and custom work

That does not mean it isn't worth building up!! there are fewer internal upgrades for it, but you can find turbo kits, pistons, valves, cams, headers, exhaust, etc.

You can even get the H22 head on the H23 block and run an even stronger setup than the H22a.(if done the right way)

Ya but i have heard that requires alot more money than a full jdm h22 swap and unless you are going ballz out with your engine i would think its not worth the cash in the long run. build the h23 or maybe get a longblock.

Hardcore is exactly right. Unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing, you're going to be fvcked. Waaay more money involved than just the H22 swap, and as a matter of fact, I only know one person that has actually got his to run without a hitch. He was on hp.com, and he was pushin' over 500 horses, but he had MAJOR work done.

I love my H23, they are right though, there is a much larger aftermarket support for the H22.

i agree to that, more support for the h22. But unless you got hook up or know people that can throw togehter engine, it will be way easier to swap. I got friends and possible a shop(when my boss open one) for me to do crazy engine mods. But till then stock engine it is

pshhh....

at the track i can run consistent 12.5's. stock VTEC ludes cant run that there on the same night. I'm not saying that i have a faster car than a VTEC lude, but it says that the H23 can bring it at the strip if driven correctly . thats 1000 ft. strip btw in case u havent noticed.

also, back in the days of HP.com, i was at the top of the list in the 1/8th up with the VTEC ludes. as a matter of fact i was beating MANY VTEC's on the list. god i wish those times were still up

later,
tim
