when i turn my headlights on they just dont hardly do anything. i hav xenon bulbs but they dont do all that much. i kno muh beems are adjusted to low. Does anyone kno what postion they should be adjusted to?
thx
I'm tired of everyone calling them xenon's... it's getting annoying. If you have HID's, call them that, if you don't, just call them halogens.. that's what they are.

I agree, if you have HIDs, call them HIDs. However, from my understaning, some Halogen bulbs use xenon gas in them to get that HID "look". So I don't know why people are calling them xenons

How painfully true. Though Ebay is a great resource for parts at very good prices for our cars.. there's way too many people 'learning' about cars from it
If you mean glass colored bulbs for that "xenon" look - it's probably the bulb that makes your headlights look dimmer. If you want that xenon look without sacrificing brightness try piaas.
I went through luks, sylvania cool blues, piaa xtremes, phillips bluevision and now using slyvania silverstars.
So I went from blue colored bulbs to a white and very bright bulb.
What you could do is hardwire your headlamp to run off the battery and relays. There is a minimal voltage drop so that your bulbs get more power and they are indeed brighter.
Using a relay:
at the switch part of the relay connect
•power from battery
•output to the bulb
at the coil
•switched power from the original bulb harness
•ground from original harness
at the bulb side of the harness
•power from the relay
•ground
I have sylvania silverstars in my car too. I dont know if Ive just been unlucky or what cause Ive had to replace two in a matter of a year! That really pissed me off cause they're like 20 bucks a piece. Although they are white and bright I would personally stear clear of sylvania's altogether IMO.

I don't think there is a preset on headlights, if there was i never went with them. i went with what worked best for me.
I have to ask, what is this topic about? He says his headlamps are too dim? What do you mean when you turn on your headlamps it does nothing at all? If it does nothing, then you have no light? Or are you saying that the light isn't shining as bright?
Secondly, what kind of bulbs do you have? HIDs or "xenon" colored cheapass ineffective bulbs? You understand that those blue bulbs or purple bulbs actually are lessen the brightness of regular halogen (even they say it is 150% more brigther than normal halogens - which is BS).
And Qveon, what are you talking about? What is a preset of headlamps? I didn't know you had an option at the dealership to get a preset on your headlamps?
This topic needs to be clarify for anyone to be able to help you on your problems.

I just replaced my stock headlights (low beam only) with Silvania's Silverstar and they work well. Much whiter, and a little brighter.

I like them - illuminates the road much better than OEM replacements or expensive aftermarket halogen bulbs.
There is no blue tint - they are just very white
I think by "preset" what Qveon probably was refering to was the aim of the lights. I know I've seen directions giving the "right" way to adjust the aim of your headlights but I'd have to dig around to find it. It seems like you park # feet away from a wall and adjust your headlights so the beams center at # feet from the ground.
Aight, i didnt mean to start a big deal about this. i was just sayin that my halogen bulbs suck. when i had my OEM bulbs in it sucked then also. and yes i do kno tha difference between halogen and HID etc. all i was askin is if there was a preset lik "bryanS: was sayin. if i adjust my headlights up then there is a big gap between my lights and my kit (there was a gap when i didnt have tha kit too). and how much are tha silverstars?
thx

Hi-beam bulbs are 9005ST and low-beam bulbs are 9006ST. It's $20 a piece and they are just drop-in. I just replaced the low-beams because I rarely use high-beams.
