Why did Honda make our interior two tone

I just realized that everything behind the a-pillar is black but the a-pillar and roof is gray. I'm wondering why they couldn't just make everything black.

Normally ceiling colors are lighter to give the impression of more space.

most of my interiors have some breaks... I'm putting a small layer of fiberglass wich reinforce them and makes them paintable... so I will be changing them to black, blue and maybe white... and I will take pics when I'm done... and will try to make a diy write out...
