There isn't problems with the differences in the location of ABS on 4th vs 5th gens? If all it is is a firewall problem, I am suprised more 4th gens haven't fabricated a JRSC on.
Shane is having more of a problem modifying the brackets to keep the belt from hitting the strut tower than anything. The supercharger looked like it fit fine in front of the firewall when I checked it out.
He currently has the blower off of the car to install some other stuff, and will be installing the AEM EMS and larger injectors soon in hopes of getting it to run correctly.
keep us updated on this....i want the supercharger, i'm hoping one of you geniouses on this board can figure it out (haha i cant even spell that word right.....i cant wait to hear what happens.

I read the FI room all the time.... Where in there does it say the JRSC sucks? A few members had problems when the kit first came out, but once members got to know the kit, I haven't heard of any problems in a long time. I've personally put almost 12k miles on my engine since getting the supercharger and my compression is still 230 in every cyl.
You know I've heard that the H23 Vtec sucks. They are unreliable and a waste of money... I don't believe that, but it's what I've heard.
P.S. Even after all the money you put in setting up you 206whp H23 Vtec monster... I make 230whp and 190wtq... I'd pull you like a freight train... But my JRSC sucks....
haha, nice, but tell us how to fit this in our engines, then we'll have a race sometime :P

I've seen a JRSC crammed into a H22a Accord. The firewall was cut but it fit. If it were me and I had a 4th Gen., I'd go with Turbo, for the same money and no fabrication, it is a better choice.
The JRSC does fit in a 4th gen H22. At least it does in my. '96 VTEC. There wasn't any major clearance issues with the jackshaft but it's really close. Highly suggest motor mounts. I'm more worried about the brake master cyclinder. The 4th gen unit was swapped out for a 5th gen. It's also really close to the supercharger. There's also some other stuff you'll need to swap out. You'll either have to lose the power steering pump or go to the 5th gen. The JRSC bracket does not fit the 4th gen pump. I also swapped my intake manifold for a 5th gen but I'm not sure if there's a difference. My mechanic had a clean spare lying around and my was pretty caked (150K miles). You'll also have to bend some vacuum lines that run along the left strut tower but that's no biggie.
Oh, can you can't run the JR computer since it doesn't work with the saturated injectors on the 4th gen. I'm currently running an MSD BTM, bigger injectors, and the rising rate FPR. My VAFC should arrive today so I'll have to go back and get that put in.
It's basically the same cost as a turbo. It mainly depends on what you want to do with your car.
I'm still breaking in the motor, so I don't have dyno plots.
I remember seing something about JR supercharger on Endyn site where they showed how "abused" supercharger was throwing pieces of petal into the engine. The compressor wheels were scraping against the wall and themselves. But then they did work on it and were able to push around 18psi, don't quote me on that. I forgot exactly how much psi it was.
