I'm looking for a body kit for my lude. I'm afraid of all these horror stories of kits not fitting right or being paper thin. I know there is no such thing as a factory fitting kit, but can someone direct me to a website of a place that sells a good quality kit? I need something more than just a lip because my front bumper was damaged in an accident anyway. Besides, I want something a little different..I bought the car brand new in 96 and I intend on keeping it for another 4-5 years
Yes, I will admit that I was lazy...I usually do searches but I didn't want to spend an abundance of time on this...I'm more concerned about my engine but since the body has been in an accident, it looks horrible..I apologize to everyone.

Wings West is the way to go. Unfortunately, he mentioned that he needs a new front bumper and not a lip due to damage.
That only leaves you with the Big Mouth bumper as an option from Wings West. That would be fine with me because that's what I have but many people don't care for the looks of it. Kaminari is a great company but they only make a lip kit.
I'm not aware of any other urethane or ABS plastic kits out there for our cars. I ended up with the Wings West because I did like the styling and the durability was an extra bonus.
You can ckeck VIS Racing or Black Widow kits - both made in fiberglass. I've heard VIS kits will require some fabrications to get them to fit right and Black Widow kits fit pretty well from the factory.
It's your choice, just let us know what you want to do.
actually im going to have to comment on the durability. i scraped pulling out of taco bell the other day and i cracked my wings west rs lip. i didnt even scrape hard and now i have to pay to have it fixed. so in my opinion urethane isnt all its made out to be.

No one said the Wings West kits are indestructable. Like any kind of material, it will crack or rip depending on the force of the impact or stress from being scraped.
Urethane will stand up to much more abuse than a well laid fiberglass kit anyday. Imagine what a fiberglass kit would have looked like if you scraped it like you did your urethane kit.
No matter what kit you have, you still have to drive cautiously.
i understand that but i barely scraped. i think my lip my had been defected or something. its just not a good site when i look at the front and see scrathes and cracks. makes me cring.

Hey, what about the turning signals in the front??? Is it legal to not have them on?
Look at the side vent of the bumper on your left hand side. Behind the mesh in there you can see where I mounted the signal lights. The Wings West Bumper comes with those new signal lights to mount in that area. They are drilled and screwed into the underside of the metal rebar located behind the the bumper.
The bumper also comes with side marker lights which would act as your second turn signal. I didn't want to drill holes in my fenders to mount them so I wired that second signal light up to my corner light on the JDM's. When I turn the signal light on, it works just like stock. The one in the bumper flashes then the one in the corner light will blink on intervals.

Hope that helps.

Hey, thanks a lot mark! I was wondering, did you get the entire Wings West Big Mouth kit or just the front? Also, how much did it all cost you? I think yer car looks awesome and I was wanting to do something sorta like yours.
I don't have an all Wings West kit. I have a combination kit consisting of the Wings West bumper and Kaminari side skirts and rear valance (made of fiberglass).
I paid $320 shipped for the Wings West bumper from New Way Autosports and $520 for the Kaminari sides and rear valance from a local shop.

Of course those prices do not include paint.

That's cool. I bet you get lots of looks when you drive by people. Hey, do you think it would be stupid if I just got the front (because I have a limited budget) and wait till I save up enough money to get the back and side skirts? Also, is there any way I can see a rear view of your car?
