who pulled their camshafts and can give me tips for a fast process? - Honda Prelude Forum

i found someone who wants the camshafts from my h23 and i want to pull them to sell it to them but i dont know what i can do to speed up the process.

I have, it's relatively easy but I would take my time. You're going to have to pull off the cam gears, which means your timing belt is most likely going to have to come off.

Do you have a helms? I wouldn't try it without a helms.

i have a chiltons i couldnt find a helms at first. i couldnt get the gears off and i dont want to damage the belt because its brand new.

Is this on an h22 or 23? maybe you could realase the tension if its the manual tensioner. If you loosen the tension on the belt I'm pretty sure the cam gears can coome off pretty easily. Make sure you keep track of the pins that go into the camgears also

how do i release the tension? its a 94 si motor my jdm h22 isnt in yet...
