Who makes a 3'' short ram intake for 4G VTEC's?

Yeah, I know you all think cold air is better. I actually am running the AEM CAI, but want to custom fabricate my own icebox type setup for my car and ditch my AEM.

So which companies makes 3 inch short rams for 4th gens? I know the 5th gen has 3'' intakes readily available, and since I have an H22A, I'd rather not have anything smaller in diameter. Thanks.

AEM does, they are pretty cheaply priced. Fittiment looks good. But I am not sure if it's 3".

EBAY has a bunch of 3" imitation ones.

Maybe you could get a 5th gen short ram AEM? I don't think you should have any fittiment problems. I know that people use the 5th gen aems on the 4th, with little modification...

Yeah thats what I was thinking too. I might just buy a 5th gen AEM. I know the 4th gen AEM CAI (which I have) is 2.75 inch, and I'm 99.99% sure the short ram is the same.

I sent an e-mail to Injen asking what theirs is....anyone know for sure?

I could be wrong be I think having a smaller diameter Intake (not smaller that throttle bore) it better. Basic physics states the smaller a cylinder tube is, the greater the velocity of air that moves through it will be. I myself have a 3" short ram type intake and Im looking for a 2.5" or 2.75" diameter pipe. Remember the throttle bore is only like 64mm or 65mm (my JG t/b is something like that) right something like that, a 2.5" intake tube is 63.4mm so maybe a 2.75"(69.8mm) is ideal. I wonder if thats why they port match the intake manifold to the head, and not over port it. Makes sense?
What do you guys think?
