Who has pics of the EL gauge cluster that.....

Who has pics of the EL gauge cluster that was turned to blue, and had like a warning spot before redline. It's not the pi0us one or whatever that is posted on here. It was really sweet looking but I can't seem to find it anymore. Any help appreciated!

They looked almost exactly like new VW Jetta gauges if that helps.

After looking at some old posts it might have been prelude2005, but the pics didn't work in the old thread so I can't know for sure.

OK, and those are EL gauges, right?

What did you use? Just the screen sheets? So you could use how you did that to turn them blue?

Also...is there a way to remove the red for the redline? I'd like to move it up to about 8000

Yes they are EL gauges, I used a orange screen sheet to make that green color, however, like I said before, that was not the color I wanted, because I wanted a more yellow/orange color. I am assuming that putting different color sheets under there would change the color to blue. I dunno what, but if you find out let me know!

No there is no way to remove the redline unless you cut out the actual plastic (plastic is colored red).

Actually the plastic is painted red. You can scrape off the red paint. The problem is that you will then have a clear section to deal with.

You sure about that Jason? I tried doing it and it was scraping away at the red colored plastic

Yeah I'm very sure. I have already cleared out the area I needed to on my spare. The red is on the back and there is a "dull" coat on the front that I had to remove as well. I just need to find a good paint or colored film that will give me the proper light transmission to match the rest of the gage. I will definately try to get some pics when I get it installed.

I used my pocketknife to scrape the "paint" off. I will try to get my dad's digicam and take some pics of where I am at now. May be able to have pics by Sat.
