Yeah, there is pics of it in a few threads:
new pics of the subwoofer console. . .

The sub is actually a JL Audio 6WO (6.5" subwoofer). I was powering it with about 100 watts. It sounded decent, but it was a huge step down from the IDQ10 with 250 watts I was used to. There is no way you can expect a 6.5" to play as low as an 10" though. The midbass was GREAT though (like drum kicks and stuff), very quick and very tight. It actually WAS a sealed enclosure, the back was formed with fiberglass to create an airspace of about .125 cubic feet:
I ended up selling it to another member, once I got my 10" enclosure finished. Apparently, he has had some problems with the black OEM plastic part seperating from the fiberglass. My guess is that this is due to the different expansion rates of the two materials (since it's located in a place VERY prone to direct sunlight and heat, right below the rear window).
I want to try something similar with the large cavity in the dash found in 92 S and Si models due to the absence of a passenger airbag. I'll probably go for an 8" this time around though. I do most of these little projects to increase my fabrication abilities, not for finiancial gain. If you are interested in doing something (I'm guessing small and light weight, given your performance-focused mindset), let me know and I'll try to help you out.
