Where's my stock coil at?? - Honda Prelude Forum

There was an external coil on my stock 93 prelude vtec. I had put in a new used h22a motor, but this one didn't come with a stock coil, maybe an internal but not an external. Can anyone tell me why this motor doesn't have an external coil? It is still a h22a motor. It runs fine and everything. The used block is stamped 93 on it. I am very curious to know why. I'm thinking that they put a wrong distributor on this motor.

JDM engines have internal coils.
