Wheres a good place to pick up a Condensor??

I have finely gotten my A/C werking like its suppose to after god knows how long only thing i need now is a new condensor cause my current one is partly clogged resulting in a loss of cooling power. Anyone got a used one that worked well before or can u suggest a good place to pick up a new one.

Thanks

Do you know for a fact that its colgged? Or is that a guess?
The only think that ever goes through the condensor is a gas, and its not going to get clogged.

If your AC isnt getting cold, you might need to recharge the Freon.
Check under the hood, somewhere on the AC system there is a refridgerant type label. If you car uses R134a your in luck. Go to Pep-Boys and pick up a freon recharge kit, it will have full instructions on how to charge up the system.
If it says R12 your screwed. Its about $50 per lb, our cars take about 3 lbs of refridgerant. You will need to go to a shop to have it done because R12 is some sort of enviromental hazard

Good luck.

The old refrigerant, R12 was replaced with R-134a .The difference between the two is that the molecules in the R-134a are smaller and disperse in the atmosphere more easily. Unfortuately, R12 works better and blows colder. If you have an R12 label, you can buy an R134a conversion kit for most cars. Hehe, you can still get R12 in Mexico, too, but the punishment if you get caught is the same as if you smuggled aliens or drugs.
