Where do you guys buy your used H22's??

All the places that I used to buy my engines have went out of business, and I am looking for another H22 Longblock (no tranny, wiring harness, ecu etc.) just the block, head, and associated items. I used to be able to find them for about 1100 shipped, but I don't know of anymore reputable places to buy from. I would prefer a USDM LongBlock, but a JDM will work just as fine. All I ask is that the Block and Head date stamps, match and are manufactured before 6/95. Any info would be great.

Thanks for the offer, but I am looking specifically for an engine with a build date of less than 6/95. I don't want an open deck engine. There are a few open Deck 96 model engines running around (most were closed), So, I chose the 6/95 date to make sure that it's a closed deck. Honda started producing the open deck H22's in the later half of 95 to put in some 96 model cars.

Import Auto Salvage (http://importautosalvage.com/) has an incredible reputation down here in the southeast. Their prices tend to be higher than other places, but the quality of the engines is pretty much the best in the business.

There was a 20+ page thread over in the hybrid forum on honda-tech.com regarding engine sellers. It stays near the top of the forum.

I bought my motor from Osaka JDM Motors in Canada. I had a bunch of headaches, as have many other members of honda-tech, and would stay away from them.
