Where can i Get those suspension energy bushings...

..I am in the middle of an engine swap, and i figured since my engine is not in my car yet, now would be a good idea to put those engine mount bushings those polyurethane ones... i think they're red... anyways i have them on my suspension, they are also red, so yea i was wondering where can i get them for my engine mounts, BTW i paid $144 for suspension bushings at www.nopionline.com, kinda pricey but THEY DID MAKE a serious improvement BIG TIME responsiveness!!

I hope to have the same effect for the engine mounts...
...can anyone point me in the right direction..?

Peace,
Jose

It's the motor mount insert. If you see the pic of the Civic suspension, then it's just above it for $33.

UKVTEC: do you have them in your car?? I was just wondering do you know which mount inserts do they include?? Is it just the front motor mount insert?? Or does it have the tranny mount insert on the passenger side too? Does the kit come with both or just the front? thanks!

Um.. FYI for you guys that want them:

First off... have you ever driven a car w/ polyurethane engine mounts? You might want to "try before you buy". Take it for a trip on the highway.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to sway anyone from buying them, but, they make a nice loud droning noise, and you will enjoy getting a full body massage every time you drive.

-Erik

BTW-- I'm getting the whole ES set soon, w/ engine mounts

Ummm... don't know if I know quite where to start... but I'll try

First off, do you know what the ES polyurethane engine mount inserts do? The "direct" the engine vibration to the chassis rather than just letting the engine vibrate around by itself in the OEM rubber engine mounts.

That extra vibration has to go somewhere, it's not just lost when you add polyurethane inserts... so you feel it in the car while you drive.

Like I said, I don't want you to take anything the wrong way, I'm not trying to tell you not to get them. I just wanted to make sure you knew what you were getting. I mean, they're really great, they do reduce wheel hop, and serve a good purpose. I think they're just too much for some peoples taste.

Personally... I don't mind them (never driven with them for a really long period of time). A friend of mine drove 10 hours from North Carolina to here in Rochester, NY with ES inserts, and non-adjustable racing seats in a Civic HX (hehe.. HX... only by badge. jpprelude, deceptakon... some people know who I'm talking about....). He didn't seem to mind it too much, but he's used to it.

I rode around with him for a few days, and got to drive the car as well, and I decided I want them too.

The worst thing that could happen dude, is you take them out, and sell them.

-Erik

just don't put the rear one in. Get the front one, and the tranny side one, and that will be enough. There will be a slight vibration at idle but it will feel fine when driving.

yours came with the tranny mount inserts?

i bought mine years ago and i only got the front and rear.

i too drove 12+ hours straight from philly to north carolina and back and i dont care about the vibrations. i just keep telling myself its a race car its a race car

why would you not install the rear mount insert? its almost pointless if not completely to do anything if you dont do it all. its like playing on a see-saw without the other kid!imagepree

but whats the deal did you guys get three sets or two?

yep, this is the same question i have?? I bought mine about a month ago but i havent installed it yet. It came with two sets. One is the front and the other i'm not sure. I guess its the rear also. I thought it was the passenger side tranny mount but it doesnt look like it fits so i think its the rear. That would make more sense.

no the front and rear set would make more sense. it would just be nice to have the other two being that these inserts pretty much save the mounts from failure as well as preventing any torque movement.

Well, then let's show Energy Suspension that we really want the other two bushing inserts! If we get enough people to E-mial and call them, it is possible that they just might make them for us.
