Where can i get a battery re-location kit?

...Where can I get a battery re-location kit?? I am doing an engine swap, I removed so much crap already and I figured since I am already lightening the car up, might as well lighten up the front of the car.

Yep, it's made by Moroso. You'll also have to buy the wiring kit for it. Just search for it on summitracing.com

What is the point of relocating the battery? 50/50 weight distribution? I thought we needed as much weight on top of the motor for traction?

Anyone?

I thought so too, but do you notice that none of the race cars have their batteries in the front?????? Also, it just looks cleaner that way, and opens up some room in the engine compartment.

i too am thinking about relocating my battery to the trunk. i've been told to go with the moroso kit because it is the best quality. i'm not sure what the part number(s) for the kit is but i was quoted 150 cdn for the whole kit with aluminum box and all wiring and connections for a local domestic shop. i'm relocating to create more space in the engine bay so i can install my crane ignition in the battery location (i'll make some sort of custom mount).
