Where can I find a DIY write up for lowering spring install on a 4th gen?

I wanan try to tackle this one myself but not until i've learned/read enough to feel confident about it.

I've looked through all the FAQ's and through the suspension forum over at honda-tech... nothing prelude specific.

Any help would be greatly appreciated it. Even if its just a link to another website/thread.

Thanks!

it's not hard at all. really. 4 bolts for each corner up front. look at the 5th gen faq, it's the exact same process.

Or even better, buy a helms, it should answer 95% of all your questions.

Since its gonna be a while before this thing gets here since they have to "re-print it" --- can someone also can someone provide a link for the one for the 5th gen?

I dont think the swap should be difficult, I'm just concerned about the spring compression/etc...

Anyone got a link to the 5th gen one? Or one preferably with pics per step?

^ha good job!

I could almost talk you through it by memory since i've taken the shocks out numerious times.

1. I loosen the axle nut while the car is on the ground, 32 or 36 mm (i can't remember)
2. Jack up the car / remove wheels
3. front shock, look under shock assembly and there is a castle nut w/cotter pin, remove
4. remove axle from hub + brake lines attached to shock
5. 3 bolts up top and you can pull out the whole shock assembly at this point if you press down on the lower control arm
6. rear shocks are a bit harder but almost same thing except its one big bolt that holds the bottom.
7. once all shocks are out you can basically take them apart, remember the positions of rubber pieces and washer, install new springs, lock them all back up.
8. go backwards and install everything, test drive to make sure nothing's loose and get an alignment

obviously there are more details but i mean its not something that should give you too much trouble.
