Hey, I'll be getting 17" rims and probably doing a drop of about 1-2". Do I need to get a camber kit and where is the best place to get one. How hard are they to install. thanks.
u'll probably need a camber kit with a 2 inch drop... i'm droped 2.25 in the front and 1.75 in the rear... i needed the front camber kit to be within the honda specs but rear... alignment shop can make it within the spec without the camber kit... also the camber kit... i bought ingalls for 130 on ebay and installed it about 2.5 hours... pretty easy... but hard to get the camber kit in... i had to lift the rotors with a jack for the camber kit to go in through the hole... you'll see what i'm talking about when installing them... good luck!
^^ what he said, i paid the same price for front and rear (the same kit for front and rear) and it only took maybe an hour to install. Just save money because you are going to need an alignment as soon as you put them on!!
so what about like an inch drop in the back and a 1.5 in the front. could I still be ok without the kit until I have the money to get the kit and then drop it more.
u probably won't need it... just install the springs... let them settle... take to to an alignment shop and see if your within the specs... i'm pretty sure it'll be ok though...
I've got the Tein SS on mine and I have it pretty low, lower than the recommended but not as low as it can go and I have about 1.7 in the front and 2.1 neg camber in the back. I have the kits but I have not had a chance to put them on. It doesn't look bad and with my eyes it doesn't look like the tires have worn unevenly. I have the 3 year alignment thing at NTB though so I go there at least once a month to make sure the toe and everything else is prefectly aligned. So I dunno if you NEED them, but it is recommended
