I was at a 'lapping day' event at Mosport's SOLO II track (where the Speedvision races are) and I spun out my back end. There was an NSX following me closely so I started pushing my car harder but I lost control in a corner and fishtaled my back end.
Luckily my tire didn't separate from my rim but I had a whole bunch of rocks stuck btw the rim and tire.
I continued with the event the rest of day but when I was driving home on the hwy I noticed that at speeds above 80km/h I hear a noice from the right rear tire ( the one I spun out on). I switched the tires but I still noticed the noise. Its not too loud and I drove home fine... but it doesn't sound like it did before.
My only guess is that I damaged a bearing, what do you guys think? Are the rears hard to replace?

hmm when I first bought my car my mechanic thought that one of the front wheel bearings was going out so he told me to buy both hubs (I think) because he wasn't sure which side was going bad.
He said he could do it in twenty minutes. I'm not sure how different/hard the rears are but I do know that a new assembly isn't too expensive.
don't know if that helps any.

I can't remember off the top of my head but I'm pretty sure that both the driver & pass. side together was less than $100.

well I just replaced my rear hub assembly and it cost me about $180. I replaced it myself though. the front wheel bearings need to be pressed in by a press machine unless you can get the whole hub assembly off a wrecked lude. The Honda dealership was asking about $80 for the front wheel bearings. How I knew that my bearings became unseated was because there was a loud clunking noise coming outta my driver side rear side. It sounded like I had a flat spot on my rim.
The only other 4th gen I saw on the Main track was Ray's? I was there as well.. the only black 4th Gen SR.... You're not Ray are you?
I can probably find you an entire rear hub... PM or e-mail me over on the hondaprelude.to board...
Hey Grant... it was the DDT. It was a lapping day event put on
by hadamotorsport club. It was a blast, and taught me a lesson
to get good tires before any event. I have a black SR-V, which event where you at?

I was on the main track...Invite only event.. I'm pretty sure this is the Speedvision course.. they used to run F1 on this track... I'ts fast as hell.. Some of the Porsches and Ferraris were hitting 240kms on the back straight... It could have been faster if it wasn't so bloody hot and humid.. I hit 195kms early in the day on warm up laps, but then my speed sensor gave out so I really don't know how fast I was going from then on... What's 6200-6300 rpm in 5th work out to in a SR (Si)? That's the speeds I was I was hitting by the end of the day. I was told the average speed on that track was about 86 MPH...
