Whats your RPM goin 80 MPH..?!?!?

just wondering whats you guys' rpm doin 80 on the freeway... cuz mines around 3900 or 4000 which sucks a lot of gas.. and i remember my 3rd gen when i owned one did 80 mph on 3400 RPM which is a big difference between my 3rd gen with a b20 and 4th gen with h23

I think mine's around 3k rpm, haven't hit the freeway in a little while but I'm pretty sure that's it.

This doesn't mean your car sucks gas either. You car might be very efficient at 4k. But just a hint all cars get better gas milage at 70 vs 80.

The tranny on an h23 and f22 are geared better for top end as the h22 tranny is better for quarter mile ... just my two cents...

80mph = 4.3k rpm. I'm running on 50 series tires. Different tire sizes affect your rpm and speed.

well im running on 17 inch racing hart type c's... the 3 piece ones.. which is really heavy and rollin on 40 series tires... so does this mean my rpms get higher when rims are bigger and heavier goin 80 mph?

The 5th gear on the F22 is geared for highway cruising(on the Accord anyway, I'm not sure if the Prelude got a different tranny) keeping the RPMs lower at Highway speeds, netting better milage.

The H23 and H22 tranny's are geared similarly.

No i dont think so Mine is 4000 @ 80, in 5th gear basically double your rpms is your speed, like 3500 = 70 mph.
