Okay, after my engine swap I can't get my clutch pedal to be pressurized. I bled the clutch lines and I still can't seem to get it. The pedal just easily touches the floor and stays there and then you can just pull it back forward. I tightned the bleeder bolt, filled the reservoir tank, and yet I still get no pressure whatsoever. Can someone please tell me my problem?
I have pumped and pumped and pumped on the clutch pedal. I probably sat there for 15 minutes doing it. I noticed that air bubbles continued coming out of the bleeder hose. I never let the reservoir get empty either. Should I try replacing my slave cylinder?
try checking at the hoses connected to your fluid reservoir, there might be a leak. If not, make sure you bleed it properly and remove all the air out of there. Its best to have 2 people doing thing. As long at you have some fluid in there, u should still feel a little bit of pressure, unless your slave and master are giving up. Even if that, if they give up, the clutch is never really completely dead, everything leaks out, and u can pump it again and it will last for a short while. If you are goin to replace the slave, i suggest you change the master at the same time. From what i m read, and experience, changing only 1 may lead the other to go bad. Well it happened to me, a week after i changed the slave, the master was gone.

I will try to explain how I bled mine. I found a hose and placed it on the end of the nipple on the slave cylinder. Make sure it fits snug; you don’t want air to get back in there. Then I poured some hydro fluid in a canister and told a friend to watch it. place the other end of the hose in the fluid. I also instructed my friend to watch the fluid level in the reservoir to make sure it does not get low. Then I started pumping. I think I did around 100 pumps. After we determined all the air was out, tighten down the valve on the slave cylinder and pumped again.
Some may say the trick I used is not the best; because dirty fluid can get sucked back into the system, but I had to do something and something quick. Good luck!
Okay, I tried everything! I replaced my slave cylinder and still my clutch pedal does not feel any different. I don't want to replace my master cylinder because I highly doubt that is the problem. Plus I don't wanna waste that much more money and find out that that wasn't even the problem. What the heck am I supposed to do! I need to drive my car!
BTW, my tranny leaks fluid...could that cause it to not work?
yeah, you know a common place for leaks is the master cylinder on the cabin side of the firewall, did you check up there by where the pedal is? I noticed fluid on the wall and carpeting. let us know.
Okay I have come to find out that it's the Clutch Damper. Does anyone have one of these lying around??? I don't want to pay $67 for a brand new one from Honda. And what would cause the Clutch Damper to go bad?? I have heard of the Slave/Master cylinder going bad....but not the Clutch Damper. I need one of these bad...someone help!!
i had this problem too.. and honestly... it took me and my friend a good full day to get it back to normal. We pumped, and pumped, and pumped... My ankles hurt alot that day!! Idk, i know u tried it.. but i figured id tell ya ne way
backwards bleed it. let fluid run through the system or attempt to bleed it in other words. if that doesnt work. open the reservior (full reservior) and press the slave cylinder in with your hand. it works. my friend told me to try, but i called bs until i got so damn pissed about it and finally tried it. it worked for me. although the pressure isnt quite as good as if you bleed it the correct way -> it is a quick fix
I already fixed the problem. It was the damper. The damper was actually coming apart so me and my friend actually took it out and hammered it back together lol. It worked!
It sits on the passenger side of the car. If you follow the hydrolic lines for the clutch, you would see what I am talkin about. I have no clue what it does though lol.
