What's with the star rating system?? - Honda Prelude Forum

My guess is that it is a user rating system of how good the post is. 1 star means that the post isn't all that great and 5 stars means that the post is really good.

This isn't new, it's just that Charlie and I, as well as others I'm sure, have just started using it. I rate on how useful the thread is etc. This one I gave a 1 since it belongs in OT Orlando!

Are mods the only ones allowed to rate? I'm guessing so, b/c this is the only way that would make sense. Otherwise, you'd have everybody perceiving the worthiness of the thread differently.

there is a box at the bottom that says "rate this thread" and you can vote. I think it takes two people or something though.

That's correct.

You can rate threads in every forum except OT. That I know of anyways. I posted this in B&E awhile ago

we are going to start rating threads, you guys are more than welcome to start doing it. We had this feature for a long time but no one used it. In order for your rating to show, more than one person has to vote on it.
