It's for the trunk, and only the master key can lock/unlock it. So if you use valet, you give the attendant the valet keys but if you already locked the trunk using that hole the valet key won't be able to open it.
Yep, same key. It enables/disables the trunk popper.
That's why there's a keyhole over the folding rear seat - so the valet can't get in. So you can store your guns and drugs and contraband back there when you go to a fancy restaurant.
