What's a good drop on stock wheels?

I don't have a lot of money, and my car will have the stock wheels (or at least 15's) for a while. What's a good drop height that's livable, but looks good?

How much are you selling them for? How long did you have them on? I'm interested if the price is right... (by the way, I was on that show last month! hehe )

I was thinking of the Neuspeed Sport Lowering Springs with a 1.5-1.7 drop, they are also in my price range. This car is going to be my daily driver too so I need a comfortable ride.

i'm in the same market with cookout........neuspeed spring($147+tax) + installation($65) = $212 <---------- i can afford this but alot of people say that the stock shock will not last that long but i consider keeping this car for at least 2 or 3 more years so they said i need koni shock which cost $550 + installation which come out to be around $800 for shock and spring....which is too much.......now i don't know what to do....

EvilRyu, uh huh, I know what you mean. Look at the suspension packages at modacar.com! There's some good deals.

I have Ground Control's with an even 1.5" drop all around, gets rids of all the wheels gap, and doesnt increase negative camber enough to need a camber kit.

Neuspeed sports will NOT get rid of the wheel gap. I have them on my stock rims and stock size tires. I get about 2.5 finger gap in the front and 2 finger gap in the back. It's a big improvement considering I can stick my whole fist in there before the drop. I would shell a little extra money and get ground controls or a lot more money and get Tiens. That way, you can make sure you'll have no wheel gap. I'm considering selling my Sports to get Race springs...

Brady92/4WS, what do you mean by perch? I've never heard that before.

Tola, if you sell your springs let me know! I think I want the Neuspeed sports!

I probably won't be selling any time really soon. Proabably within a few months. During the install, I did scratch them up though, but it didn't bother me much because no one will see it anyways.

As for the perch, it's the plate where the spring sits on the shock. Koni's have adjustable perches.

Ok, just out of curiosity, is there any way to tell which perch the spring is mounted on? I didn't put them on, so I'm not quite sure what it is I'm looking for. It'd be really useful for me to know though, since I'm planning on installing tomorrow some Neuspeed Sport springs to replace the Races on there now.

I have Eibach Sportlines (1.7/1.5)...I like but you will have camber issues, so if you're short on dough don't get those. Click Here if you want to see a pic. You can cruise through my directory for others if you like.

Look for what though??? I'm swapping them out because I'm getting tired of grounding out on things as tall as manholes. Are these perches on the bottom of the shock, top, what?

It's on the middle of the shock, where the bottom of the spring sits on. Picture this, the bottom of the shock is mounted to your lower arm right? The top of the shock is just way up in there, and the perch is on the middle. I don't mean any offense, but I don't get why this is so hard to understand.
