I'm running neuspeed springs over Kyb 4way adjustable struts and I have to say I'm very happy. Ride height is nice, not to hard on the bumps corners well, keeping in mind I'm on 17" rims and neuspeed sway bars as well with a camber kit. Hope you find something you like.
Tein Flex with EDFC is my ultimate dream setup. I have been riding with my friend that has that setup and it is amazing. I am currently on Neuspeed sports and i am happy.
Sorry to say but it all boils down to how much cash u wanna spend and how your driving habits are. If you just have alot of money to burn, then yes, spend the $1500 or more on a coilover setup with pillow mounts, etc. If you dont care for adjustability of any kind, then just find some springs with the lowering that u want and get some aftermarket struts. That way, you install and forget about it.
Check out the spring rates on them...the higher the rates, the more harsh the ride quality. I beleive the flex has really high rates compared to the SS and the basics have the lowest. If your not gonna do anything serious, just get some SS or even the basics are good. They have short-stroked matching shocks and allow for ride height adjustment.
^^No. Taken from the tein website, the flex spring rates are 559 front and 336 rear. The SS's and the Basics are both 448/224. Those numbers are in ibs/in. Now the SS offers dampening adjustability, which also plays a role in ride quality. But you can see how the Flex's are significantly higher in rates. So if you wanted superior handling and do not mind the stiff ride, then you are good to go. Just make sure you have upgraded other suspension parts (strut bars, sway bars) in order to fully enjoy carving those turns.
