What's the average install time, effort & cost for installing JDM sidemarkers?

What should i expect in terms of installing JDM sidemarkers, with respect to time, effort, & cost. I'm going to have a shop do it...

yes! Thanks, I was wondering the same, I have a set laying around that I completely forgot about. I'd like these installed, but wasn't sure if I could do them myself, considering things like placement and measuring etc. So, bump to this, anyone know?

I know measurements, but I dont know how to go about drilling.

measurements:
either use tape or a GOOD eye...
top of fender across to the door and then from the very botom corner of the fender (wheel well side) up to the top of the fender. that is where the top left corner of the side marker goes.

picture:

thats prolly not EXACT, but its close enough.

Those sidemarkers light up, the JDM's that is? The previous owner had a hole on each of his fenders approx. where it's been shown ^^^ to put those or some kinda sidemarker. The thing is, the guy used some ghetto azz stereo wires to run power to them. I had to replace the driver side fender but the hole is still on the passenger side that I have never filled yet

At last years LFW, Corey (Si4WS) popped one of his out and showed me the pattern that was cut out and it did not look easy at all.

yeah, that was anothing concern of mine, if you do it, you only have one chance to do it right. Anyone have a picture of how the fender looks just before placing the sidemarker on, as in, what do the holes look like etc.

Also, about the wiring, is it trick to get the wire to run from where you tap it to the hole you made? So basically I'm wondering if this can be done without have to remove the fender.

you just have to wire the side markers to the blinkers (or at least thats the way I'm planning on doing it). just splice into the blinker wires and wire the side markers right up to the blinkers...its not hard. now as for the drilling the fender to install the side markers, thats where I'm a little scared.

Its not as simple as tracing the shape of the sidemarker. There is a pattern you have to make so that it "snaps" in and "snaps" back out.

what we need is someone with a JDM fender who either hasn't yet installed it, or who has, but is willing to pop out their sidemarker and take some pics/make some measurements.

i have a set also but the shop i took it to won't do it 'cuz there are like no room to mess up and they don't want to take the responsibility... like the hole in the fender would have to be exact since there's no room in the sidemarker... i don't know how to explain this but ppl with those sidemarkers should know...
