coil overs and adjustable shocks on the highest settings, sway bars, and good strut tower bars, and most importantly- good tires.

for a reasonable amount of money:
KYB adjustable shocks (~$300)
H&R Sports or Race Springs($150-$200)
Neuspeed or Progress Rear Sway Bar ($250-$300)
and like the last poster said: good tires!!!
Do a search and you'll be amazed at all the good suspension set-ups that you can find
I really want to go with Teins, but I doubt I can front the cash, and I really need shocks right now. I am debating between Koni yellows and KYB AGX. I am also thinking of going H&R Sports or Ground Control down the road. Should I save the cash, and get both installed at once, or get the shocks now?
For the money I'd say the Tanabe Sustec front and rear strut tie bars are a great deal at $100 a pop. Suspension Techniques sway bay kit for $250. KYB AGX shocks, or if you can spring for the Neuspeed version of the Koni yellow adjustable shocks go for those, and Neuspeed Race/Sport springs (depends on the drop and stiffness you want). Cap it off with a set of Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position tires, or Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's if you're more budget conscious.

TEINS is definitely worth it. Coilover just simply owns, adjustable height, and ride. i would save up for it. too bad we don't own a rwd car. no drifting =\

I think the Neuspeed front bar would be a better option, seeing as it is about the same price, and it is an amazingly designed piece. Tanabe would be good for the rear though.
