I recently noticed that my lude shakes (more noticeably the steering wheel) when I'm going 50-60 and I accelerate more on the pedal. During the acceleration is when the shaking occurs, then when I let off on the gas the shaking stops. Before my steering wheel would shake when I would brake from going around 60 but resurfacing my rotors fixed that.
I recently had my tires balanced, so that might not be it. Any ideas as to what else it might be?
probably the motor mounts. My front one was torn to crap and I replaced it but I still have the vibration on acceleration problem. I'm gonna check out the rear one soon and replace it if necessary.
Did this start all of a sudden or did the vibration slowly appear over time?
there was a bulletin (back in the day) in reference to steering wheel shimmy. I'll see if I can borrow the pop's password and get into Honda's ISIS system so I can take a look at it again. I believe what it called for was simply re-balancing of the tires, something to do with static-balancing, but I'll see what I can find. For comfort, mine does this too, basically between 55-65, and most noticeably at/around 60. It's weird because usually a shimmy is something that gets worse or better when vehicle speed increases, but it's not evident up until the 55-65 range, and after 65 or so I once again don't notice it.
As a professional upper-control-arm-breaker, I can positively attest to the fact that once you break these bad boys, you can achieve the exact effect you describe. If your car is as low as mine, I suggest you check your upper control arm ball joints, and then PM me.

Anybody want to buy my Lude? (Will sell in either stock or fairly modded trim).
if you have rims, it could be due to the wheels not fittin the hub properly. the way to correct that is to get some hub centric rings.
