Ok so i think im gonna do the h23a VTEC swap. The question now is where do i get a tranny, and which one do i get? Can i use the f22 trans or h23 trans, or do i need an h22a trans? BTW the one that comes with the h23a vtec is auto.
you can use any of the trannsy you listed. They will all work with it, however they all are geared different. probably the best choice for that motor would be h23 or h22.
i'd probably base it off of your ECU. if it's an H22 ECU, go H22 tranny, etc. the H22 has the shortest gear ratios of the three becuase of it's high rev limit (gears don't have to be long if the engine winds out further) if you'd like to accelerate, go H22. if you want to cruize at high speeds, i'd say H23, but that's from what i know someone knows better than i do
