Right now i have bf goodrich euro t/a's and these things suck. i have decided i am going to purchase a new set of tires but i am uncertain as to which kind to get. I need them in 215/40/17 and i would like to keep the price under 110 a tire. give me some suggestions guy.
For some good advice, try searching this topic, as many, many people have wondered the same thing. For the price range you're looking for, try Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's--many people swear by these. I have them and love them. Check out:

well i recently bought some new tires along with my rims, they were the yokohma parada spec 2 tires, let me tell you these things are bad ass. they look great and everything. i highly suggest getting these tires.
I think I got my Kumhos for only 75 each. After shipping, they were around 425 total.

...Plus tax, which everybody pays, unless you have hookups. Shipping was only about 70-75 bucks, if I remember correctly.

You should check out Discount Tires Direct in Arizona.
Right now they are not charging for shipping and no
sales tax. they have very good prices on most tires.
I myselft got a fine set of Falken Azenis ST-115 for $104
per tire. shipped fast and perfect.
I have a set of Kumho Ecsta Supra 711's yes, 711's. A little stickier the the 712's, but they wont last as long. My brother just got a set of Parada Spec-2's and I think that may be my next tire.
hmmm well i think i have decided to order the parada spec-2s. im also going to order some h&r sports. Im pretty sure my suspension sucks so bad is because i have intrax springs. hopefully the h&rs will be better. well thanks for all your input guys.
before reading this forum i decided to click over to tell you to get the spec 2's. i did a ton of research on this tire. supposedly the best high performance tire in the rain and i believe it. i've maintained traction through heavy puddles in them and they rail like a mother. you made a wise choice. they supercede nitto, kumho, dunlop, pirelli, etc. for price value. i'd suggest a local discount tire dealer. talk them down in price, pay no tax or any separate balancing, rotating, etc. fees, and best of all, pay for the free replacement warranty so if you blow one, get a stress bulge, or whatever within the life of the tire and you get a new one without proration. i'm running 215/35/18's and i love them.
I just got the kumhos 712s and im not liking the loss of feedback from them. I put them on the front and the re92 stockers felt better than these. they are stickier but im not really happy.
ps- they are cheap... u do get what u pay for. I got 2 new tires, but there's no value there. Value is is price divided by satisfaction. if the price is cheap but there is low satisfaction, you have a high value score... you want a low value score to be truly satisfied... i'm pissed... those 712's might have a stiff sidewall and be an "ultra high" perf tire but they make me want to crank them up to 44 psi cold to get back what i lost
