What size tires? - Honda Prelude Forum

Sup all, I'm getting 17"x7" rims with a +43 offset. What tire size should I get without worrying about rubbing. I was thinking either 205/45 17 or 215/45 17. I plan on dropping the car an inch at the most. I live in NYC with really crappy roads so i can use the extra sidewall that the 215/45 17 tire has to offer but I don't want to worrying about rubbing. Thanks in advance.

Between those 2, I would go with the 215/40/17. You'll appreciate having the wider tire. Another thing you might consider is going with 215/45/17's. That will give you some extra sidewall and fill in that extra wheel gap if you only lower 1". Search the setups on hp.com for that to give you a good idea of what it would look like.
